Bit-Torrent distribution of 64 StudioHi, all! One of my preferences is to promote the use of bit-torrents for distributing Linux distros. I'm a bit a of a distro-junkie, although my main workhorse OS is MEPIS Linux. 64 Studio is unique, and I think it needs to be more widely known. I see that the bit-torrent for 32-bit version of the 2.0 release at http://www.tuxdistro.com is not being seeded. Since I am active at LinuxTracker.org, I've started a torrent there. It is a popular site, and gives good exposure. Although it is based in North America, members come from all over the world. And downloads are open to non-members at no charge. When I co-ordinate torrents for MEPIS, I try to get community volunteers to keep at least 3 seeds for every torrent version we have going. People new to a Distro are impressed by community support expressed in a well-seeded torrent, but are turned off by one that lacks seeds. Of course! I may be "Captain Obvious" here, but if you can pitch in and help seed this torrent, it will obviously help promote 64 Studio! thanks, |

torrent update
After a few days, we have had moderately good participation in the torrent swarm for 64 Studio 2.0 for i386.
Currently there are 10 people seeding the torrent, and 1 leech.
A total of 30 people have DL'd the ISO.
Thanks to all those who have helped seed --and who continue to participate.
I have it on for two days and nights now
but no more downloads. We should put all Versions of 2.1 there too.
