ntfs-3g
Hello developers,
I just find on web this information. http://www.ntfs-3g.org/support.html#plugandplay
People which develop ntfs-3g driver argue that automount read/write ntfs external HDD is feature which should be matter of distro developers.
If it is really like this, I would like put in a word for it.
Because I think that many people like me, which consider to switch from Windows to Linux need handle their data.
And they have data mainly on ntfs external hard drives.

I don't know if this will
I don't know if this will help but there's a utility called 'ext2 IFS driver' available here:-
http://www.fs-driver.org/
It allows Windows users to read (and write) ext2 volumes under Windows. I've been using it for over a year and it's much more reliable than trying to mount Windows volumes under Linux. I'm pretty sure I once tried it with a USB drive and it did work.
Hello johne53
I was trying solve exactly opposite problem to access data from linux on ntfs usb hard drive.
To be precise to mount usb ntfs hard drive automatically read/write.
Anyway thanks a lot for your link. I didn't know about this possibility and it will be very helpful too.
