Legacy ISA hardware supportHi All, Sorry if this is an old subject... I've got a Genuine Roland MPU-IPC-T (aka MPU401) interface on an ISA card which I intend to use in a Pentuim PIII system. Will the 64Studio build of Linux be able to be configured to use this card on the ISA bus? This will be in addition to a SBLive! Value (PCI) sound card. I've tried Ubuntu Studio, but no success & I found on the forums there that Ubuntu has actively 'removed' legacy ISA support from their Kernel. What's the likely outcome with 64Studio? TIA

x86 build
There is an easy way to find out. The x86 build is maintained to support ageing hardware - your PIII would be a prime suspect.
Download and try. 64studio is based on etch, and it (etch) used to run nicely on my old P1 serving web pages a while back. Free would not deliberately have removed ISA support in the x86 version.
Cheers,
