I have no idea what I'm doingYou know its funny. I installed this last year and my biggest problem was dual monitor support. I think I've gotten slower. What am I supposed to do with statements like this: Where do I type it, where does it go, because the manual takes for granted that you know what you're doing. -Dan

"#" is the symbol for "Root Terminal"
You do not need to use the terminal to install the package though... In synaptic just enable the Debian etch repositories, and search for "gconf-editor" and install it.
You are not getting slower. You merely forgot what other people still need to learn! That means you are way ahead...
Cheers,
I've yet to find a version
I've yet to find a version of Linux where dual-monitor support can be installed simply. What graphics card have you got?
